Individual placements are available in a variety of locations in Nepal. Opportunities exist to; work in small schools, medical centers & hospitals and orphanages.
Volunteers should; be self-motivated, enthusiastic, easy-going and flexible. Placements in clinics or hospitals require experience in the health field. Placements in orphanages require a minimum stay of 2 months.
Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to Kathmandu. Volunteers are met at the airport and transported to their site.
Room and board is provided by a local family for $125 per month.
Travelers to Nepal can stay in the country for up to 5 months on a tourist visa. The cost for the visa is $1 per day. You can get a visa at the Royal Nepalese Embassy or at the airport upon your arrival. Payment must be in US$.
